Essex has historically produced a number of well known and successful bands. One of the latest up and coming rock bands is Rocksmith. Frequently likened to the Who and other classic rock and roll blues oriented bands. Rocksmith pride themselves on creating their own original songs each with a unique flavour of its own.

Five professional standard musicians have come together from diverse backgrounds and experiences. It's not hard to identify the driving forces within the band ROCKSMITH but what matters is how they collectively come together to create the sound they have. Certainly a case of the sum of the parts being greater than the whole.

One thing the band are agreed on is that no two songs should sound alike. The last thing ROCKSMITH want is to create a couple of set-lists of songs that all sound the same. The bands ethos is to provide the listener to their album songs or a live audience with a rich variety of songs that may be a little thought provoking but definitely exciting. Excitement, positive energy and motivation pulse from the lyrics of the songs and inexhaustibly from the stage during a live performance.

ROCKSMITH are currently working on their debut album but with at least two albums worth of songs, choosing the album content is proving tricky. The title of the album however is already defined, "Slaying the Dragons" with a title song of the same name is analogous of the struggle for success and overcoming adversity. This and another song "Its Tough" have been produced and released for distribution through the iTunes online store. These two tracks have been mastered by Andy Jackson, who has worked extensively with David Gilmour and particularly on Gilmour's "On an Island" and "Live in Gdansk" releases.

While ROCKSMITH appreciate the kudos of being likened to such luminaries as the Who, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Doors, Kinks and many others they are keen to be recognised for heir own brand of rock. Drive and energy even maximum R&B as it was known all fit well. At the same time positive and determined lyrics also provide the occasional soulful or blues number. Guitar, Bass, Keys and Drums all work tirelessly to provide the pulsating backing for an equally tireless frontman with a penchant for Tambourine. Recordings really struggle to replicate the energy, drive or essence that comes from a live ROCKSMITH performance.

Is there any site where I can find all unlockable pedals for Rocksmith or at least unlock the Bitcruncher pedal?

Connecting my guitar to my PC.?
I really want to connect my guitar to my PC, but don't know how. I have a cord that came with my PS3 game Rocksmith, that goes from my guitar to the USB port on my PS3. Can I use this to record my Guitar plying on my PC? I have Audacity if that will help. Also, is their any free software that I can use as a guitar amp on my PC. I want to add distortion and stuff. Thanks!

Want to learn how to play the electric guitar?
I was thinking of learning how to play the electric guitar. I mostly want to learn how to play so I can do covers of songs. I want to cover songs by Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, ACDC, Ozzy Osbourne, Dethklok, Disturbed, Iron Maiden, Alice In chains, etc. Does it matter what guitar I get because I was thinking of getting the guitar that comes with ROCKSMITH, Is that any good to play some songs for example the heavy and aggressive sounds of a Slayer song? Basically what im trying to ask is do electric guitars have different tones? do They all sound the same? and whats with the price range of guitars? Is that because of brand name or what? And last but not least what model is the guitar that comes Rocksmith and is it good for trash metal and regular metal?
